International Commission on Missing Persons highlights the collaboration with the Armenia's Ministry of Health

On March 28, 2022 Anahit Avanesyan received Director-General of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) Kathryne Bomberger, Director for Policy and Cooperation Department of the ICMP Andreas Kleiser as well as Ambassador of Armenia to the Netherlands Tigran Balayan.

The Minister emphasized the vital role of ICMP in identification of DNA samples of the victims of the war.

Anahit Avanesyan said “Everything has been done in the shortest possible terms for us to possess maximum number of complete genetic characteristics, during that time we were open and accountable”

Kathryne Bomberger highlighted the cooperation with the Committee of Genetic Experts and “The Scientific-Practical Center of Forensic Medicine” of the RA by emphasizing that Armenia has fully maintained the internationally accepted procedures for genetic testing.

Kathryne Bomberger mentioned that the International Commission on Missing Persons will carry on providing assistance to Armenia to overcome the consequences of the war, by closely cooperating with the Armenian partner organization.
